Welcome to our specialty class! every other  month we have a guest chef who is onsite at Good From Scratch cookery school teaching us their master speciality. From master pasta classes to patisserie and Indian and Italian classes, we have a range of goodies lined up for 2022. 

 

These classes are held during the week and after work from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. Classes will be a maximum of 12 people and a minimum of 10. You will sit down to eat the goodies you have prepared from around 8.30pm onwards with a locally made beverage. 


This months specialty class is run by Ashmita who owns Tandoori in Kumeu. We had Ashmita teach a class a few months ago which was a huge hit! We were immersed in the culture learning all about the specific ingredients and the backgrounds of the dishes and what they meant to Ash. 


Some of what we made last time:

Palak Paneer - paneer (Indian cheese) cooked in creamed spinach and spices

Ghar ki chicken curry - chicken curry cooked tomatoes and spices. Commonly cooked in Indian homes

Dhal tadka - lentils cooked with tomatoes and cumin in ghee.

Chapati- Indian wholemeal flatbread.
